ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE

REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

Another day of visible migration, with highlights including a Yellow-browed Warbler trapped and ringed, 2 Cetti's Warblers ringed, on the sea 1500 Common Scoters, 19 Red-throated Divers, 25 Gannets, 8 Great Crested Grebes, 3 Arctic Skuas, 2 Razorbills and 17 Sandwich Terns, 180+ Pink-feet, 104 Brent Geese, 44 Wigeon, 218 Teal, a Water Rail, 1 Spotted Redshank, 1 Greenshank, 2 Blackcaps, 3 Song Thrushes, 1 Stonechat, 1 Grey Wagtail, 20 Redpolls, and 36 Siskins.
