ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE
REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

A gorgeous spring like day, which saw singing Skylarks and sky dancing Marsh Harriers. Birds of note included Barn, Tawny and Short-eared Owls, the latter adjacent to the entrance track, a Bittern, and Brambling and Siskins around the pines. A Greenshank was on the Lavender Marsh and a Jack Snipe at Redwell Marsh.
