ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE
REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

Raptors featured strongly today with the best being a Red Kite over the grazing marsh early morning, a Peregrine over the Pines and a Merlin perched again on the grazing marsh mid afternoon. Other birds of note during the day included a pair of Stonechats on the east bank, a Grey Wagtail over west and a pair of Goosander in Thornham Channel. A few moths as well today, which included March Moth and Shoulder Stripe with the best though being a Mottled Grey.
