A breezy but beautiful day clouding over later on, highlights were 4+ Common Buzzards drifting over the pines west, an Avocet, 14 Curlew, 6 Black-tailed Godwits, 2 Common Sandpipers, a Green Sandpiper, a Spotted Redshank, 3+ Greenshanks, 3 Snipe, a Tawny Owl calling from the pines, 2 Lesser Whitethroats, 2 Reed Warblers, a Whinchat along the sea wall at Thornham, 3 Stonechats near the lavender marsh, and a Wheatear along Broadwater Road first thing this morning. Butterflies included Brown Argus, Small Heath, Common Blue and Painted Lady.
