Friday 9th September 2016
A rather quiet day with strong south westerly winds keeping many birds with their heads down. On the sea a Red-throated Diver was of note and 2 Fulmars, 15 Gannets, and an Arctic Skua were recorded. A Manx Shearwater found in a garden near Rugby and deemed fit for release after a veterinary check up was brought up to the coast at Holme for release yesterday, a rare thing to see so close up!
