A sea fog hung over the site all day, with a north-east breeze producing a number of good migrants. Two Spotted Flycatchers were around the reserve in the afternoon, a Yellow-browed Warbler was in the Forestry, a Redstart was along the approach road, and at least 4 Wheatears, 6 Willow Warblers, 10 Blackcaps, a Garden Warbler, a Lesser Whitethroat, 6 Whitethroats, a Sedge Warbler, 4 Reed Warblers, 2 Stonechats, and 6 Siskins were also recorded. A Kingfisher was around the Broadwater, 2 Common and 1 Green Sandpiper were noted, a Hobby flew over in the afternoon and a Cetti's Warbler was also of interest. Ringing totals for the day were 44 birds including Cetti's Warbler, 2 Spotted Flycatchers and Garden Warbler.
In the moth traps 2 Rusty Dot Pearls were of note.
