A day of sporadic heavy rain limited activity somewhat but 200 Goldcrests were still very active in the pines with 16 birds ringed between showers. Other migrants were still in evidence in the morning with an estimated 60 Robins, 2 Redwings, 10 Song Thrushes and 5 Blackbirds noted. Four Bramblings were around the pines and on the lawn and 2 Stonechats were on the east bank, 80 Pink-footed Geese were seen and 2 Water Rails were vocal along the Broadwater.
A Humming-bird Hawk Moth was around the buddleias throughout the day.
