Strong northerlies dominated again today, with seawatching highlights including 2 Eiders, 328 Common Scoters, 2 Velvet Scoters, 1 Goldeneye, 1 Red-breasted Merganser, 7 Red-throated Divers, 245 Gannets, 10 Great Crested Grebes, 2 Slavonian Grebes, 40 Great Skuas, 7 Little Auks, single Sandwich and Arctic Terns. Also of note were 6 Snipe, 9 Black-tailed Godwits, a Peregrine, 20 Twite with approx. 100 Linnets at Thonrham Harbour, and a Lesser Whitethroat was still active along the east bank near the Observatory. At least 20 Waxwings were still at the west end of Broadwater Road, but mobile.
