A rather quiet, clear and cold day. On the sea a count of 44 Great Crested Grebes was unusual, with six Red-throated Divers and seven Red-breasted Mergansers also noted. On the reserve a male Stonechat was along the east bank and a count of the Gadwall on the Broadwater revealed there are at least 145 birds present.
