The Drake Ferruginous Duck was again present on the Broadwater along with a smart drake Common Scoter. A walk to nearby Thornham Harbour gave nice views of the Twite flock, with several of the birds noted wearing colour rings, the below bird having originated from Derbyshire. Other birds of note here included a Peregrine, a flyover Lapland Bunting and a pair of Stonechats.

Colour-ringed Twite; please remember to report your sightings of these - Thornham Harbour, January 2017
