Another warm spring day with moderate westerlies saw raptors conspicuous once more. Five Marsh Harriers, 8 Common Buzzards and 3 Red Kites were over the marsh.
Interest from the sea included 2 Long-tailed Ducks, 8 Common Scoter, 7 Red-breasted Mergansers and a drake Goldeneye; 5 Eiders flew east.
Around the reserve a few more Robins and Goldcrests were evident, a Chiffchaff was in the pines
and 3 Stonechats were noted. Overhead were 12 Siskins and a single Grey Wagtail.
