ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE

REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

A breezy day with showers, Sparrowhawk, Marsh Harrier and Buzzard were out over the grazing marshes, a Cetti's Warbler, 5 Chiffchaffs, a Willow Warbler, 2 Lesser Whitethroats, 4 Whitethroats and 8 SedgeWarblers were singing around the reserve.

Another two female Emperors hatched during the afternoon and a single Muslin was in the moth trap.

A female Mallard led her ducklings from the pines to the Broadwater during the afternoon.
