ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE

REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

Sunday 14th May 2017

Rain in the morning gave way to sunshine, and highlights included an Osprey in Thornham Harbour, a Red Kite drifting west, a Tawny Owl on the NOA reserve, 2 Spotted Flycatchers in the west end of the pines, 2 Wheatears on the NWT reserve, and a Tree Pipit over calling.

Moths included another Small Elephant Hawk, while butterflies included Small Copper, Brown Argus, Wall Brown and Green Hairstreak
