A beautiful day with a visible increase in raptor activity, at least 6 Red Kites and 5 Buzzards were seen, with singles of Peregrine, Kestrel and Sparrowhawk all in the recording area. On the grazing marshes 350+ Wigeon and 200+ Brent Geese were still of note, with a Little Ringed Plover on the NWT reserve and 2 Med Gulls flying over calling. At least 3 Cetti's Warblers were heard and 6+ Chiffchaffs were also present, with a Brambling 'wheezing' near Redwell paddock, a Siskin over calling and 5 Twite reported from Thornham Harbour.
Two Hebrew Characters and a March Moth were all that the moth trap had to offer, and a single Peacock butterfly was in a sheltered corner near the Heligoland trap.
