A Painted Lady was near the Observatory on the Viper's Bugloss, with 3 Small Heaths along the bank and 2 Azure Damelflies, 3 Blue-tailed Damselflies and 4 Large Red Damselflies around the pond.
The moth trap was rather quiet today with 2 Cinnabar, 2 Swallowtails, 4 Sand Darts, 2 Silver Ys, a Barred Yellow, 4 Middle-barred Minor, a White Ermine, Dwarf Cream Wave, Diamond-back, Spectacle, Common Wainscot, Small Blood-vein, Lesser Yellow Underwing, Mottled Rustic, Buff Tip, and Setaceous Hebrew Character the best that the day had to offer.
A backlit Swallowtail, which was only prepared to be photographed on the window!
