On the sea today a single Fulmar flew west and 16 Gannets, an Arctic Skua, 3 Little Terns, 70+ Sandwich Terns, 16 Common Terns and a juvenile Arctic Tern were recorded. A flock of 80 Black-tailed Godwits were on the grazing marsh and 3 Great White Egrets were of note. Five Stonechats were on Holme Golf Course and 2 Yellow Wagtails flew over calling. A Merlin and a Red Kite were also of interest.
In the moth traps a Gold Spot, 5 Archers Darts, 12 Square-spot Rustics, 4 Setaceous Hebrew Characters, 4 Lunar Underwings, a Frosted Orange, 11 Large Yellow Underwings, 7 Silver Ys, 2 White-line Darts, 3 Brimstone, a Vine's Rustic, a Ruby Tiger, 2 Centre-barred Sallows, a Green Carpet, a Flounced Rustic, Double-striped Pug, Large Wainscot and Light Emerald were caught.
