Another excellent day for seawatching with 59 Brent Geese, 122 Common Scoter, 2 Red-throated Divers, a Fulmar, 236 Gannets, 4 Great Crested Grebes, 13 Arctic Skuas, 36 Great Skuas, 2 Guillemots, 2 Sandwich Terns, 5 Arctic Terns, 10 Kittiwakes, 2 Med Gulls, and a Storm Petrel west around 9.30am.
Other birds of note included a single Pintail, a Great White Egret, an Avocet, Golden Plover, 36 Black-tailed Godwits, 6 Ruff and 3 Snipe, a Kingfisher on the Broadwater, 2 Yellow-browed Warblers sheltering on the west side of the reserve, 2 Chiffchaffs, a Willow Warbler, 2 Blackcaps, a Lesser Whitethroat, a Brambling around the pines, 3 Siskins, a Snow Bunting and at Thornham Harbour 2 Lapland Buntings were seen.
Moth traps contained just 4 Lunar Underwings and a Beaded Chestnut, with 2 Migrant Hawkers still present near the Observatory.
