On the sea today 300 Common Scoters, a Goldeneye, 8 Red-breasted Mergansers, 9 Red-throated Divers, a Great Northern Diver, 2 Manx Shearwaters, 400+ Gannets, 4 Great Crested Grebes, 1 Pom Skua, 3 Arctic Skuas, 17 Great Skuas, 2 Razorbills, 3 Guillemots, 67 Auk sp, Little Gull, Med Gull, Long and Short-eared Owls were seen.
Other birds of interest today included 200 Golden Plover, 24 Black-tailed Godwits, 2 Snipe, 10 Bearded Tits west along Broadwater, a Swallow, Chiffchaff, a Willow Warbler trapped and ringed, 10 Blackcaps, a Fieldfare, 6 Song Thrushes, 35 Redwings, 2 Mistle Thrushes, 15 Robins, a Stonechat, Grey Wagtail, 45 Meadow Pipits, 9 Rock Pipits, 6 Bramblings and 20 Siskins.
A Sallow, Red-green Carpet, Feathered Ranunculus, Beaded Chestnut, 2 Black Rustics and a Large Yellow Underwing were in the moth traps, while a Wall Brown, Small Copper and Speckled Wood were round the Observatory centre.
