Highlights today included a mixed flock of Skylarks and Linnets in the mouth of Thornham Harbour numbering close to two hundred birds, with a least one Twite picked out amongst them. A female Blackcap was in the scrub near the Observatory Building. On the sea the Common Scoter flock had seemingly increased to in excess of 2,000 birds but were very distant, a single drake Eider was noted just offshore.
