A very cool but sunny day, at least 4 Red Kites were counted passing over and 10 Buzzards were soaring on the thermals, with 70 Golden Plover flying high east and a Spotted Redshank of note. A Sand Martin and 5 Swallows were counted during the day, with 12 Chiffchaffs, a Blackcap, a Black Redstart, 2 Bramblings and 8 Siskins also recorded.
In the moth traps 2 Small Quakers, a Powdered Quaker, Hebrew Character and Red Chestnut were noted, with 2 Peacock butterflies on the wing during the day.
