Two Great White Egrets were again recorded around the Broadwater/Marsh area, with at least ten Snipe feeding on the mud viewable from the Broadwater Hide, plus a single Greenshank. The first Wheatear of the autumn, a male, was recorded on the NWT reserve with other noteworthy species during the day being at least four Whimbrel and a single Yellow Wagtail.
The moth traps were busy with 65 species recorded that included Pebble Hook-tip, Webb's and Twin-spot Wainscot, Gold Spot, Purple Bar, Small Scallop and Shaded Broad Bar.
