Holme Bird Observatory Thursday 16th September 2021

Another new Pied Flycatcher was caught this morning and then one was seen in the pines near the obs with a ring so possibly the same one or the one from yesterday. There was a small movement of Meadow Pipits but only 2 caught. The sea was fairly quiet, no Skuas seen, a few Scoters moving with 21 counted and 3 Red-throated Divers were the highlight.

The moth traps were fairly busy with a Convolvulous Moth and Red Underwing on the tree next to the trap. Highlight included 1 Frosted Orange, 1 Large Thorn, and 1 Black Rustic.
