ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE

REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

Holme Bird Observatory Friday 19th November 2021

A beautiful sunny say for the time of year, highlights were over 5,000 Pink-feet on or around the grazing marsh, 3 Pintail on the Broadwater, on the sea 4 Eider, 6 Common Scoter, 3 Red-breasted Mergansers, 4 Red-throated Divers, 13 Great Crested Grebes and 2 Razorbills, and a Red Kite, Black-tailed Godwit, Snipe, 2 Bearded Tits, Green and Great Spotted Woodpeckers, 4 Stonechats, a Rock Pipit and 2 Siskins were all recorded.
