ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE

REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

Holme Bird Observatory Tuesday 23rd November 2021

Two Goldeneye, 13 Red-breasted Merganser and 8 Eider were best of an afternoon sea watch. Two Chiffchaffs were trapped and ringed, both Green and Great Spotted Woodpeckers were around the pines and 30 Bramblings were noted flying west. A calling Lapland Bunting and a Woodcock were early morning birds on a walk in through the dunes on the coastal path.
