NEW NOA MERCHANDISE NOW AVAILABLE The NOA is now selling pin badges and mugs for Holme Bird Observatory, available for sale at the Observatory at Holme, at a cost of £5 for pin badges and £10 for mugs. Under a system which is helping Observatories around the UK, these items are supplied by UK Birding Pins at zero cost to the Association and are of excellent quality, intended to help support our work and promote what we do. These items are now in stock, so if you’d like to have your own pin badge or mug then please do ask when you are visiting us at Holme. Holme Bird Observatory Sunday 19th December 2021

On the seawatch today 530 Wigeon were on the beach ,with 3 Eiders, 4 Goldeneye, 7 Red-breasted Mergansers, 2 Great Northern Divers and a Slavonian Grebe also of note. A Water Rail was heard from the Broadwater where 3 Pintail, a duck and two drakes, were also feeding at the north-eastern end. A Great Spotted Woodpecker was in the pines and a ringed Chiffchaff was also seen near the pond.
