ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE

REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

Holme Bird Observatory Friday 18th March 2022

A Wheatear was seen on Thornham Bank and 3 male Stonechats were noted. Also of interest were 5 Chiffchaffs, 11 Redwings, 13 Meadow Pipits, 30 Bramblings and 8 Siskins.

A Pine Beauty, Dotted Border and Mottled Grey were in the moth traps. Small Tortoiseshell, Comma and Peacock butterflies were also seen.
