A sunny start to the day and a singing Chiffchaff at the western edge of the reserve gave a very spring like feel to the day. Sightings during the day included a male Eider on the sea, twelve Black-tailed Godwits, and a two Bearded Tits. A porpoise was noted offshore and a Red Admiral butterfly was seen, though once again the moth traps were empty.
