ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE

REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

Holme Bird Observatory Sunday 27th November 2022

On the sea Great Northern Diver and Slavonian Grebe were highlights, with 1000 Lapwings over the ridge and 140 Golden Plover passing west. A Kingfisher was around the Broadwater, and a Firecrest was still present in the pines just behind the Observatory. Three Chiffchaffs were also noted together with 5 Fieldfares, 3 Stonechats, a Grey Wagtail east, 8 Bullfinches near the village and 4 Rock Pipits over the reserve.
