ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE

REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

Holme Bird Observatory Monday 5th December 2022

On the sea today 80+ Gannets were feeding offshore, a drake Long-tailed Duck flew west and 2 juvenile Little Gulls flew east, with 3 Red-breasted Mergansers and a single Common Scoter also observed. On the grazing marsh 250 Golden Plover and 120 Lapwings were south of the Hun, and around the reserve a female Blackcap, Fieldfare and 2 Stonechats were of interest.
