ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE

REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

Holme Bird Observatory Sunday 18th December 2022

On the sea today 14 Whooper Swans passed west and Lapwing passage exceeded 1500, with 28 Eider on the sea, a Goldeneye, 13 Red-breasted Mergansers and a Red-throated Diver all seen.  Around the grazing marshes 50+ Golden Plover and a Ruff were seen, and a Woodcock was near the Broadwater.
