Highlights were a Fulmar over the marsh, a Little Tern over the Broadwater, 3 Spoonbills, a Whimbrel, 2 Common Sandpipers, 5 Lesser Whitethroats, 5 Whitethroats and a Stonechat.
In the moth traps a Yellow Belle, 2 Vine's Rustics, Green
Carpet, 3 Flame Shoulders, Marbled Minor sp, Small Elephant Hawk, Mottled
Rustic, 3 Treble Lines and a Setaceous Hebrew Character were caught.
Butterflies included the first of the Brown Argus on the
wing, with Green Hairstreak, Orange Tip and Wall Brown also noted. Large Red,
Azure and Blue-tailed Damselflies were recorded around the pond.
