ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE
REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

A sunny day with light winds. At least 8 Pink-feet were still on the grazing marsh and 1200 Common Scoters were offshore. 2 Red Kites drifted over, and a kettle of 6 Buzzards was over the village late morning. 41 Avocets and 2 Black-tailed Godwits were of note, and 4 Sandwich Terns were passing out to sea. A Barn Owl and a Peregrine were also of interest. 3 Swallows, 5 Chiffchaffs, 2 Blackcaps, a Redstart, 3 Wheatears, a Brambling and 2 Siskins were other species of note.
