A quiet day with mist clearing in the afternoon, highlights were 3 Red Kites over, a Greenshank, 3 Common Terns east along the Broadwater, 2 Turtle Doves around the paddocks, 2 Cuckoos around the Obs, the Short-eared Owl seen briefly hunting south of the Broadwater, a Hobby through east, and a Cetti's Warbler singing.
Moths improved today with 2 Poplar Hawks, a Small Elephant Hawk, a Nut-tree Tussock, 5 Green Carpets, 8 Cinnabars, a Water Carpet, Treble Lines and Poplar Grey among the catch. Brown Argus was present in good numbers around the reserve, and a Four-spotted Chaser was also of interest.
