Highlights today were 2 Spoonbills west over the NWT reserve, a Whimbrel over calling, 22 Avocets, 27 Black-tailed Godwits, a Common and a Green Sandpiper on the NWT pools, and a Lesser Whitethroat singing on the NOA reserve.
In the moth traps a Privet and an Eyed Hawk moth, a Shoulder-striped Wainscot and a Silver Y were of note. Butterflies included 2 Small Tortoiseshells, 3 Meadow Browns, a Painted Lady and a Small Copper. A Common Darter dragonfly was also seen.
Interest from Walsey was limited to 95 Lapwings, 23 Black-tailed Godwit and 19 Curlew over in the afternoon.
