The Great Knot was again present at Gore Point until 7.30am with its Red Knot cousins. Other waders included 30+ Curlew, 18 Black-tailed Godwits and 1 Whimbrel. Three Marsh Harriers and two Little Egrets were also on the marsh.
A modest catch of moths nevertheless included a Red-necked Footman which sadly escaped, Privet and Small Elephant Hawk Moths, Sand Dart, Shore Wainscot, and Buff Arches. 12 species of butterfly were seen including Comma and Painted Lady.
