A cooler day though still very summery nevertheless. Offshore over 500 Sandwich Terns and at least 15 Common Terns were passing, while overhead many Whimbrel were counted, including a single flock of 19 passing west over the dunes mid afternoon.
In the moth traps Privet, Poplar and Pine Hawk moths, 3 Garden Tigers, a Burnished Brass, White Satin Moth and 2 Buff Tips were among 80 species in the traps last night.
