REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

Being greeted by singing Willow warblers as I arrived this morning gave an insight as to what todays most numerous bird was to be ! Around fifty were estimated to be around the observatory and at the rear of the pines, with 24 trapped and ringed during the day. A Garden Warbler was a surprise catch as well and other birds of note included Green Sandpiper and Greenshank on the Broadwater. Single Pied and Spotted Flycatcher were on the NOA reserve with one more of each also present on the NWT reserve.
