Wednesday 17th August 2016

A similar day weather wise as yesterday which allowed for ringing early morning, but the increasing wind strength curtailed activities after lunch. Five Meadow Pipits and another Stonechat were the ringing highlights. Other birds recorded included two Common and one Green Sandpiper, a Greenshank and at least 4 Stonechats along the east bank. The moth trap was again on the quiet side, but a rather smart Red Underwing was some consolation for that.
