A productive day ringing wise with 48 birds of nine species caught which included a Lesser Whitethroat ( following on from another one caught yesterday), single Mealy and Lesser Redpolls and Rock Pipit. Birds of note included several Waxwings with several ones and twos seen over the Obs and a flock of at least six on the NWT reserve. A Common Scoter was on the Broadwater, a Short-eared Owl over the grazing marsh, a juvenile Peregrine seen early morning plus two over flying Crossbills. A Dusky Warbler was a good find though elusive at times, in bushes along a section of the River Hun with a Yellow-browed Warbler present in the same area.
