With the winds turning to the North-west hopes were high for some decent sea watching. Unfortunately things didn't go as hoped and movement over the sea was surprisingly quiet. That said a few interesting birds were seen, these included 12 Bonxie, three Velvet Scoter, two Sandwich Terns and single Manx Shearwater, Long-tailed Duck and Eider. Interesting birds around the reserve included a female Ring Ouzel near the NOA car park and an unseen overflying Crossbill/s.
