A lull in the wind meant some early morning ringing, which enabled 20 Song Thrush to be ringed along with 25 Robins both a fair reflection of main species arriving at the site and a Rock pipit was the first to be caught this autumn. Other birds of interest included three Yellow-browed warblers, all on the NWT reserve, a Spoonbill east over the grazing marsh and two Spotted Redshank on the Broadwater. On the sea a single Puffin, Manx Shearwater and Velvet Scoter were all noteworthy.
Highlights from Walsey Hills included Yellow-browed Warbler again, a Ring Ouzel through in the afternoon and good numbers of Song Thrush.
