ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE

REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

Holme Bird Observatory Tuesday 16th June 2020

A largely misty day, with the sun finally breaking through around 3 o'clock. The Spoonbills were again on the Broadwater, five birds today, and at least three Crossbills were in the pines near the Obs building. At least three vocal Cuckoos were seen and heard and a Grasshopper Warbler was again heard reeling nearby.

The moth trap was quieter than past days, but did contain three rather smart Privet Hawkmoths and a Peppered Moth.
