Seawatching was exciting first thing with 45 Wigeon, 200+ Teal, 5 Pintail, 8 Shoveler, 8 Common Scoter, a Red-throated Diver, 37 Fulmars, 2 Sooty Shearwaters, 11 Manx Shearwaters, 91 Gannets, a Great Crested Grebe, 2 Pom Skuas, 55 Arctic Skuas, 30 Great Skuas, 3 Little Terns, 18 Sandwich Terns, a juvenile Arctic Tern, 117 Kittiwakes, and an adult Little Gull recorded. Also of interest today were a Water Rail, a Little Ringed Plover west, 15 Whimbrel, 250+ Black-tailed Godwits, 3 Sand Martins, 15 Swallows, 150+ House Martins and a Wheatear, Pied Flycatcher, 4 Willow Warblers and a Lesser Whitethroat.
Only 5 moths were caught today; Dingy Footman, Flounced Rustic, Silver Y, Large Yellow Underwing and Agriphila geniculea.
