I was excited for a good seawatch this morning but unfortunately numbers were very low with the best bird being a Long-tailed Skua trying to fly west but getting pushed east by the strong wind. Also 3 Arctic Skua and a Bonxie were seen. Mark B went back out in the afternoon and had a very close in Manx Shearwater. He also had very brief views of a Hen Harrier (Ringtail) over the grazing marsh around midday which flushed up all the Black-tailed Godwits. A Greenshank was present at Thornham Habour. Two Whinchats were reported in the dunes.
Unsurprisingly the moth traps were rather empty! 4 Silver Y, 12 Flounced Rustic, 2 Large Yellow Underwing, 2 Setaceous Hebrew Character, 1 Turnip Moth
