The Broadwater had a very Mediterranean feel to it this morning with a Spoonbill, three Great White Egrets and four Little Egrets greeting me on my arrival to the observatory.
The moth traps were incredibly busy with a total of 89 species recorded including 6 Rosy Footman, 25 Bird Cherry Ermine, 2 Knotgrass, Campion, True Lovers Knot,, Nut-tree Tussock, Round-winged Muslin, Coxcomb Prominent and Fen Wainscot, with the highlights being a Blackneck and a Great Brocade.
