ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE

REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

Holme Bird Observatory Thursday 30th September 2021

A rough day with plenty of rain. There were few birds of note but a Great White Egret was seen and 2 Grey Herons flew west low over the dunes.
 
Moths today included 4 Square-spot Rustic, 20 Lunar Underwing, 9 Large Yellow Underwing, Snout, 3 Feathered Ranunculus, Angle Shades, 5 Beaded Chestnut, 3 Large Wainscot and 2 Setaceous Hebrew Character.
