A blustery day with heavy rain mid-morning. On the sea 85
Brent Geese, 6 Pintail, 3 Eider, 101 Common Scoter, 5 Red-throated Divers, a
Manx Shearwater, 68 Gannets, 7 Great Crested Grebes, a Guillemot, 20 Sandwich
and 4 Arctic Terns were recorded. Also of interest were 32 Black-tailed
Godwits, 2 Snipe, and a Wheatear was at Gore Point.
Moths today were Brimstone, 12 Lunar Underwing, 2 Brown-spot
Pinion, Setaceous Hebrew Character, 2 Large Yellow Underwing, Angle Shades, 3
Common Marbled Carpet, 2 Beaded Chestnut, 3 Black Rustic, 7 Square-spot Rustic,
2 White-line Dart, 2 Vine’s Rustic and a Flounced Rustic.
