A Whooper Swan was again on the Broadwater and 2 Great White
Egrets were seen during the day. A ring-tail Hen Harrier was hunting near
Thornham late afternoon. Other birds of note included a Greenshank, Water Rail,
Kingfisher, 4 Jays, 5 Cetti's Warblers, a Chiffchaff, female Blackcap, 4
Goldcrests, 21 Blackbirds, 2 Fieldfares, 3 Song Thrushes and 4 Redwings. Five
Rock Pipits, a Brambling, a Redpoll sp and 8 Siskins were also seen.
