Holme Bird Observatory Wednesday 2nd February 2022

The Golden Plover flock number rose to around 1500 birds today, making an impressive sight, especially  when disturbed, with a female Merlin helping out on one occasion. A Greenshank was again in Thornham Harbour and on the sea an Eider and Great Northern Diver were noted.
