ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE

REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

Holme Bird Observatory Wednesday 11th May 2022

A Greenshank and Common Sandpiper were around the Broadwater today and a steady trickle of Swifts and hirundines were noted passing the Obs in between the rain.
The moth traps produced 2 Buff Tip, 3 Small Elephant Hawkmoths, 4 Muslin, 5 Shuttle shaped Darts, 7 Treble Lines, 4 Northern Drabs, 16  Flame Shoulders and single Hebrew Character, Sharp-angled Peacock, Purple Bar, Celypha lacunana, Privet Hawkmoth, White Ermine, Heart and Dart and Lychnis.
